  • Core Responsibilities

    • Conduct financial audits of client accounting data related to R&D tax credits
    • Build well-organized credit-calculation spreadsheets
    • Write R&D tax-credit methodology
    • Research tax matters
    • Provide support to the Tax Credit Manager in training team members
    • Track progress on each project
    • Participate in departmental process-improvement projects
    • Complete compliance paperwork for government incentive programs, including training grants, property-tax abatements, and job-creation incentives
    • Collaborate with the Technical Team (Technical Writers and Engineer) on projects and to improve company processes
    • Proactively identify potential problems and bring them to the attention of managers
    • Provide timely communication to coworkers informing them of project developments and status

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
    • Licensed CPA, preferred
    • An interest in IRS code sections, court cases, revenue rulings and other tax citations related to tax credits and incentives
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
    • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
    • Ability to travel approximately 15% of the year
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
    • Strong communication skills — both written and spoken
    • Ability to understand technical discussions, analyze, solve problems, and synthesize information
    • Demonstrated ability to be an independent and strategic thinker
    • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
